Gibe River Park Camp is on the banks of the Gibe river, under a big Ficus tree, not far from the capital on the way to the West, in the Gibe Shekelo park.

Wake up early in the morning in a village, wait for the stars in the night under a big tree, fall asleep listening to the flow of a river…our tented camps are simple and small accommodations in great naturalistic location that allow you to enjoy this experience in a safe environment and in contact with the local communities.

Gibe river is one of the tributaries of Omo river, 200 km from Addis at 1500 m asl, on the way to Jimma, in the Gibe Shekelo park. The camp is at 15 minutes’ drive from the main road, on the river banks, in the shadow of big ficus and acacia trees.

There are beautiful excursions for birdwatchers but also hikes to spot hippos and crocodiles, fish in the river in collaboration with Blue Nile Safary.
